Work in the product development area based on the principle of excellence with a strategic vision of the Brazilian market. Ensure coordination in the generation and launch of products, speed of progress and anticipation of market trends, from HMC's breeding programs as well as the sister BU's product portfolio.
The Product Excellence Manager Brazil is the person who keeps the Product Managers informed for the coordination and organization of all activities that involve product development in Brazil and the position is responsible for monitoring and completing internal actions.
- Lead all Product Development activities within assigned territory under the guideline of product excellence.
- Provides leadership and supervision to all Product Development teams within BRAZIL region to ensure they are developing and providing the required product performance data to use in determining the value-added benefits and features of a new product and providing technical support to Sales, Product Managers, and customers regarding how to effectively use products.
- Ensures that samples imported to BRAZIL comply with all legal requirements established by the country, establishing a follow-up of excellence in the process.
- Promote business growth by introducing innovative products and detecting new business opportunities.
- Guards the company’s interest and minimizes risk while maintaining a positive relationship with customers by effectively managing the product performance claims in collaboration with the quality assurance team and all relevant local stakeholders.
- Manages the Product Development data base for all PD trials conducted within the assigned territory and, in collaboration with the Product Management team, feeds and updates the PANOSHARE marketing database with data of the local markets.
- Maintains a high level of knowledge regarding the competitor’s key products.
- Provides a link between research, marketing and sales to evaluate and identify new products that will meet the needs of the target customers.
- In accordance with DEVCOM deadlines, coordinates with PD Excellence Maganer SAM to make timely recommendations to the Product Manager regarding new products that will be incorporated into the product line, based on the results of Product Development testing in Brazil, as well as the ability of the product to satisfy customer needs.
- Strategic Planning and Analysis: Ability to initiate and lead the planning and analysis of market data, through constant communication and coordination with sales, development and marketing teams, in order to evaluate the main objectives. Ability to assume a leadership role in the country's overall strategy.
- Technical Skills: Vegetable production knowledge. Technical expertise of key vegetable pest and management practices. Knowledge of the Fresh Market or Processing market / industry. Sales and customer management skills, as well as crop management skills. Ability to evaluate trials and new variety selections. Budgeting experience. Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and integrity. Ability to work with people of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
