Job description
Functional Description:
Develop, plan, direct, implement, and oversee human resources policies and activities such as recruitment, hiring, training, performance evaluation, labor relations, relocation, safety, and employee services in Brazil.
- Human Resources Management: Oversee the administration of Human Resources policies, programs, and practices that meet the needs of HM.Clause and comply with Brazilian state and local laws. This includes managing a team of HR professionals and ensuring effective team leadership and resource allocation.
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Develop and manage an effective recruitment program. Coordinate the recruitment process with hiring managers, oversee the placement of positions, and ensure the use of effective recruitment sources and strategies.
- Performance Management: Coordinate the performance evaluation process, ensuring timely and accurate assessments. Provide guidance to managers on performance feedback and development plans.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training and development initiatives, including operational, specialized departmental, and management training programs. Lead efforts in workforce development and talent management.
- Compensation and Benefits: Ensure the country's compensation and benefits system aligns with the company's overall philosophy, maintaining internal equity and effectiveness in attracting and retaining talent. Oversee payroll processes and systems, ensuring compliance with Brazilian regulations.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Coordinate with the Local Safety Coordinator (LSC) to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies, regulations, and standards.
- Employee Relations and Advisory Role: Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. Provide expert advice and counseling to management on employee relations and labor union issues.
- Organizational Development: Lead organizational development initiatives, focusing on succession planning, organizational design, workflow efficiency, and change management. Manage key projects aimed at improving organizational effectiveness.
- Internal Communication: Develop and implement internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and ensure clear communication of HR initiatives and policies.
- Management of Foreign Employee Processes: Supervise visa and immigration processes for the employment of foreigners, including permanent resident processing.
- Continuous Improvement and Best Practices: Learn from best practices across company subsidiaries and apply them to enhance HR structure and development in Brazil. Identify process gaps and lead HR improvement projects to elevate the standard of local HR practices, processes, and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Develop and mentor HR staff to build a strong HR function aligned with business needs.
