Main Goal

1.       ROLE WITHIN THE UNIT

 

The Communication Officer is in charge of Local Communication and product promotion. As marketing/communication expert fully dedicated to his/her mission, the Communication Officer is responsible for defining the strategy and coordinating of communications in the area (products, company, brands), makes recommendations and implements the yearly Communication Action Plan.

 

2.       PURPOSE

The Communication Officer is responsible for defining the strategy, planning and executing promotional, communication plans, in line with the company's strategic priorities and the local needs of different target audiences. This role may not involve direct team leadership, but it requires effective collaboration with various stakeholders and colleagues.

 

3.                   LOCATION

The area of influence and responsibility is Americas and includes the subsidiaries of Mexico, USA, Brazil, and Export area. The person selected should be located on Queretaro, Mexico.

Job description

1.       GENERAL MISSION
·       Elaborates the communication strategy adapted to local market and needs, in the frame of the Global Communications strategy.
·       Defines and deploys the yearly Communication Action Plan (CAP) to promote the local product offer
·       Develops locally the notoriety and image of the brands.
·       Works in close collaboration with the Sub Manager, Product Development Manager, Sales team, Customer Service, Admin departments (legal and regulatory aspects), Marketing and Global Communications department
·       Deploys internal and external company communication as defined by the Global
·       Communications department. Brings inputs and recommendations to optimize the
·       deployment.
·       Scope of action: all external stakeholders and employees of all the sites of the country


2.       SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES

v  GENERAL ACTIVITIES

The activities to be carried out include but are not limited to:
•       Elaborate, in collaboration with stakeholders, Communication Action Plan (CAP) ensuring approval and validation by management.
•       Prioritize communication projects and integrate internal and corporate communication actions decided by specific management.
•       Collaborate in defining and implementing strategies that promote the operational excellence of marketing actions, supporting commercial and development teams in their initiatives.
•       Facilitate effective internal communications in the sub’s, aligned with the guidelines of global communication department.
•       Implement and monitor the annual CAP in each subsidiary, following management guidelines and supervision.
•       Ensure the quality of communication publications, services, and deadlines, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and target audience expectations.
•       Control the implementation of the communication action plan, ensuring the quality of publications, services, and deadlines.
•       Monitor the performance of communication actions and regularly communicate results to management and involved teams, identifying optimization opportunities and continuous improvement.
•       Coordinate internships associated to the area in each subsidiary.

v  MEDIA RELATIONS AND EVENTS

•       Establish and maintain solid relationships with third-party suppliers, such as advertising agencies, printers, translators, and other service providers, to ensure efficiency and quality in the execution of communication actions.
•       Monitor and evaluate the impact of communication actions, collecting feedback and data to improve future initiatives.
•       Develop and maintain relations with the media, including journalists, influencers, and other opinion-makers, with the support of the corporate team if necessary, to increase brand visibility and reach new audiences.

Skills: what we expect of you

v  DIGITAL CONTENT

•       Coordinates the production of images, videos, and other types of content, ensuring adherence to visual identity and brand guidelines.
•       Assist in maintaining and updating the content of the company's website, as well as executing social media strategies, ensuring the consistency and relevance of posts.
•       Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content, using tools such as Google Analytics and other analysis platforms (for example, e-photo.com analytics), to optimize the effectiveness of campaigns.
•       Collaborate with other internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and communication, to ensure integration and consistency of messages across all digital platforms.
•       Identify and seize opportunities for collaborative content creation or partnerships with other organizations, promoting synergies and expanding the reach of the company's content.
•       Keep up with trends and best practices in digital marketing and communication, identifying opportunities for improvements and innovations for the company's strategy in the online environment.

v  KPIs AND REPORT

•        Monitor area KPIs and provide detailed reports that assist management in decision-making and in evaluating the performance of marketing and communication actions.
•       Analyze the impact of implemented actions, identifying areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
•       Develop and implement methodologies and processes for measuring and evaluating marketing and communication actions, ensuring effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
•       Record and archive generated data, keeping all existing information sharing platforms updated.
•       Actively participate in the analysis of the results of marketing and communication initiatives, contributing with insights and recommendations for optimizing actions and maximizing ROI.
•       Collaborate in defining and periodically reviewing KPIs, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic objectives of the area and the company.
•       Establish efficient communication processes to share information and updates related to KPIs and the performance of marketing and communication actions with teams and management.


1.       MANAGERIAL HIERARCHY AND COLLABORATIVE RELATIONS

v  DIRECT REPORT TO AMERICA UNIT DIRECTOR
This position will report to the America Unit Director, who will provide support in the event of difficulties and during special events. The America Unit Director will also aid in making decisions.  Ideal candidate will have autonomy to perform specific duties with flexibility, as delegated by management.

v  PROFESSIONAL ABILITIES

 

•       Proficient in MS Office, highly familiar with design software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign etc.) and content management system.

•       Strong written and oral communications abilities; a very good graphic sense.

•       Professional printing/publishing skills are essential.

•       Good knowledge of the Communications methods and codes.

•       Desirable experience in production of photos and videos.

•       Experience in digital marketing and customer journey.

•       Experience in developing presentations and messaging.

•       Excellent research and proofreading skills to ensure all materials are high quality and accurate.

•       Languages: English, Spanish. Portuguese is desirable.

•       Capacity to travel nationally within Mexico and internationally including USA, Brazil, Tropical and Europe.

•       Must possess a valid driving license.
