RESEARCH & INNOVATION - RESEARCH OPERATIONS

Main Goal

As part of the Licensing department of Field Crops Research, you will provide legal support in contract law applied to intellectual property. In an international and multicultural environment, you will work closely with Limagrain's community of researchers and breeders. You will have frequent interactions with many other departments and subsidiaries of the Group.

Job description

You will provide legal support for the Legal & Licensing activities of our subsidiaries in France and abroad, and for activities related to access to and use of genetic material, breeding technologies and traits; securing intangible assets and minimizing the legal risk associated with these activities. In this respect, you will be responsible for :

- drafting and negotiating contracts, in English and French, covering research and development activities, including services, confidentiality, material transfer, collaboration, co-hybridization, cross-breeding, production and co-production of genetic material, technological and IT licenses, etc;

- monitoring the life of contracts and implementing the various contractual aspects depending on the type of agreement (financial, legal, germplasm management, etc.);

- analyzing, advising and providing legal support to various internal and external contacts.

- contribute to the legal follow-up and ensure the drafting needs of Limagrain's affiliates and joint-ventures.

- carry out legal and regulatory watch on legal issues of interest to the Licensing department and field crop research.

- update and create new contract models and clauses; feed the contract databases and manage the "simple" contract creation tool set up by the Licensing department; correct and validate all contracts generated via the tool.

- ensure the drafting and follow-up of simple contracts and files.

Skills: what we expect of you

- Master 2 in business law with a specialization in intellectual property law or contract law;

- Recent graduate. A 1st professional experience in a similar position would be a plus.

- Fluent in English and French. Knowledge of Spanish or German would be a plus.

- Excellent writing skills.

- At ease with intellectual property issues related to life sciences and able to work in a technical and international environment.

- Good command of office automation tools (Excel in particular).

- Degree or dual training in law and biology or life sciences would be highly appreciated.

Recruitment process

Our recruitment process consists of several stages:

- the first consists of a pre-screening of applications by Jérémy, our Talent Acquisition Manager, accompanied by future manager Roxanne, to establish a shortlist of candidates for audition. A telephone pre-qualification may be carried out.

- A first interview is organized with the future manager.
