At our Research Center in Chappes (63, near Clermont-Ferrand), our Molecular Analysis Platform is looking for its future Laboratory Planning and Operations Manager, on a permanent contract. You will report to the Molecular Analysis Platform Manager, and interact directly with the Genotyping Production Managers to develop and manage the platform's planning and needs.
Your team is in charge of creating genotyping projects, purchasing and invoicing analyses carried out by the laboratory.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Develops and manages planning of genotyping projects in collaboration with Genotyping Production Managers and laboratory clients.
Monitors clients demands and communicates effectively with Molecular Analysis Platform manager to adjust resources and, or projects turnaround time.
Participates in budget preparation and monitors expenditures.
Supervises purchase of operational and capital expenses according to budget plan.
Supervises genotyping project creation and samples import.
Manages and optimizes the invoicing process to clients of the genotyping projects performed by the laboratory.
Prepares monthly reports on KPIs and operations.
Manages a team of up to five people, assign tasks, ensures appropriate training, and evaluates performance.
PROFILE
Master degree in Planning, Science, Engineering or related discipline with at least 4 years of experience in management of activity and people.
EXPERTISE
- Experience in people management.
- Experience of at least 3 years in organization of planning. Experience in setting up a planning system would be a plus.
- Knowledge of computer programing and applications for data visualization would be a plus.
- Knowledge in biology would be a plus.
SKILLS
- Must be innovative and detail oriented.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and French.
