Conducting Usable transplant (UT) tests in UT nursery. This includes managing the work load, planning temporary labor support and resources to ensure timely availability of results. And support other QC test activities in Germination lab
• scheduling and supervising UT nursery
• Maintaining all UT nursery Facilities and Equipment
• Sourcing, and quantifying materials.
• Training and monitoring UT temp staff
• Preparing of seed samples for UT test and follow the instructions of germination specialist
• Testing of samples for UT on daily basis
• Evaluate samples according to ISTA/ lab rules
• Result entry and communication on daily basis
• To assist the germination specialist to ensure total quality according to customer needs
• To ensure all relevant information is supplied timeously and accurately.
• Ensure safety at work place
• Tests seed for germination, TZ, Moisture & purity,
• Track all QC samples and results ensuring data integrity
• Reasonable knowledge on seed testing activities
• Numeracy skills with a good understanding of percentages.
• Basic IT knowledge with good written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office- Excel & Word
• Handle work pressure well
• Test planning skills
